Kenya Wild Bush Adventure

Itinerary

This 8 night, epic bush adventure will take guests on a once in a lifetime journey from the Kenyan Capital of Nairobi, through the plains of Laikipia, and upwards to the vast rocky landscapes of the Northern Frontiers.
Guests will experience the diverse wildlife, tribal cultures and landscapes of the different regions, and have the unique opportunity to eat & sleep in the wild, surrounded by the very nature they’ve spent their day exploring, as we set up our mobile campsite along the way.

  • Guests will arrive throughout the day to our partner hotel. Relax, unwind, meet us and meet your fellow guests, and prepare yourself for the adventure ahead!

  • Today you’ll be introduced to our guides and have a short briefing, before hitting the road in our Land Cruiser 4x4’s.
    Let the adventure BEGIN!

    We’ll stop just outside of Nanyuki at the famous Trout Tree restaurant and visit the official Equator, before heading to our first “soft campsite” campsite on a small farm near Mount Kenya. This will give guests their first taste of the camping experience in a safe and controlled environment and give you a chance to get familiar with your gear.

  • After a delicious breakfast whipped up by our chef, it will be time to pack up tents and move on to one of Kenya’s premium conservancies (Ol’ Pejeta). Here guests will have the opportunity to see the awesome Black & White Rhinos, as well as an abundance of other beautiful wildlife!

    This park is so well run that you’ll forget at times that you’re in the African Bush, until you set up camp for the night and hear the Hyenas and other wildlife communicating with each other in the night. This is the moment that bush camping becomes an experience like no other, and it’s what will keep you coming back for more and more!

  • It will be an early rise as we meet the rangers of Ol Pejeta and head out to track some lions, and monitor the population and prides in the park. We'll then make our way out of the park for a restaurant breakfast before heading deeper into Laikipia and on to the next unique experience - Spending the night with a real Maasai tribe!

    You'll be greeted with singing, dancing and celebration before learning about the Maasai way of life and camping in the family Boma for the night. This is truly a magical experience that cannot usually be experienced by tourists.

  • Time to pack up, head out of Laikipia and upwards to the rocky landscapes of Samburu. Enjoy the completely different scenery and the unique wildlife of the region before heading to our LUXURY camp for the night. Yes that's right, it's time for a shower (or bath) and a comfy bed for the night at one of Samburu's most famous luxury camps! You'll have the chance to wear something nice (if you want) and enjoy a sundowner drinks and a delicious 3 course dinner, before heading to your tent for the night.

  • Onwards and upwards we go, further North and to the breathtaking views of Mount Ololokwe! As we arrive to the base of the mountain it will be time to gear up, drink some coffee and begin our afternoon hike to the summit with our guides and rangers.
    Expect views that take your breath away, as you gaze out over the seemingly never ending landscapes around you, before heading back down to camp where the team will be waiting with food to replenish all the energy spent on the mountain!

  • It will be a hearty breakfast and probably some achey legs from the hike yesterday, but today is a day of rest, recovery, and...baby elephants! This morning we'll head over to Reteti Elephant Sanctuary where you'll learn about the hard work that goes into rescuing elephants all over Kenya and if you're lucky you'll be able to interact with some of the babies.

    This is then where we begin our journey back down South, through the Laikipia region again, and on to the bright lights and a comfy bed in Nairobi!

  • For the last day of your adventure we'll enjoy everything Nairobi has to offer! Amazing food, rescued giraffes, markets, people, and night life!

  • Our final breakfast together, and time to check out from the hotel.
    Life-long memories will have been created and a big group of new friends.
    There will be just enough time to get online and book another escape, but the question is…Where Next?…
