We’ve packed in as many amazing activities as possible to this EPIC 10 day adventure in Java Indonesia, and guests can expect an unforgettable experience full of moments that they will remember for the rest of their lives. Sunrises, Temples, Volcanoes, Waterfalls, Caves, Beaches, and Surfing are all on the agenda, but this does involve a lot of travel between locations and several early mornings. This is REAL adventure and guests should be prepared for it!

Day 1
Arrive & Chill

✈ Arrive to Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA)

  • Check-in to our partner hotel

  • Relax, unwind & meet your fellow guests

  • First night dinner, briefing & introduction

Day 2
Sunrise & Culture

  • Wake up early and head to the famous Borobodur Temple for a spectacular opportunity to watch the sun rise over the temple ruins

  • Head into Yogyakarta to experience the Javanese food culture

  • End the day at another famous UNESCO site - Prambanan Temple

Day 3
Exploring Caves

  • Descend 60 meters down into Jomblang Cave, and to its hidden jungle, and beaming natural lights. A thrilling experience!

  • Float through Pindul Cave in rubber rings. Stop for a swim in this beautiful cave system

  • Spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel pool

Day 4
Yogyakarta to Surabaya by Local Train

  • Another early morning to catch the 06:45 train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya, but don’t worry we’ve booked you First Class for an extra comfortable ride!

  • Drive South towards Tumpak Sewu, visiting the famous Jodipan Rainbow Village on route to your next hotel

Day 5
The most epic waterfall you’ve ever seen

  • Spend the morning exploring the huge waterfall systems and caves of Tumpak Sewu. Breathtaking experience!

  • Jump back in the car as our journey continues towards Mt Bromo

  • Tonight you’ll stay in beautiful cabins perched on the edge of the Mt Bromo Caldera. The perfect place to start our epic sunrise journey tomorrow

Day 6
A sunrise to top all sunrises

  • It’s time to wake up at 2:00am and begin our journey to the Bromo viewpoint. This hike will have guests fully awake by the time we reach the sunrise spot.

  • After watching the epic sunrise we’ll head down in our jeeps to see Mt Bromo up close!

  • Onwards we go, as we’ll drive a few hours South East to our next accommodation

Day 7
Time to hit the beach

  • Continue our drive down to the beautiful Red Island Beach

  • Enjoy some free time to explore the beautiful surroundings and relax

  • Time for an afternoon Surf Lesson to close out the day

Day 8
Surf & Beach Vibes

  • Start the day right! Time to hit the surf for another awesome lesson

  • Relax and enjoy the beautiful Red Island Beach

  • Optional afternoon surf lesson for those who catch the bug!

Day 9
The journey back to civilisation

  • Last opportunity to catch some morning surf before saying goodbye to Red Island beach

  • Drive back to Surabaya (approx 6-7 hours)

  • Last night drinks & dinner

Day 10
Time to say goodbye

  • It’s a wrap for this escape, but there’s plenty more adventures to be had!

  • Surabaya is a very convenient hop-over to Bali for those who wish to extend their stay
