  • No this experience is neither “luxury” or “budget”.
We specifically chose accommodation partners that offered beautiful yet affordable accommodation to ensure we can deliver a comfortable, enjoyable experience that can suit most people’s budgets.
All accommodation is what we would consider to be 3 star and above.

  • Java has a typically warm & tropical climate throughout the year, but being in the tropics this does mean occasional showers are possible.

We (however) do aim to hold our escape in the dry season which runs April to October, reducing the chance of rainfall.

Some activities on this escape are at altitude (Mt Bromo) where the temperatures can drop into the single digits, so guests should bring warm clothes, a wooly hat and a wind breaker jacket.

  • We will always try to accommodate where possible, and most (non-allergy) preferences should be easy enough to work with, however this will be discussed on a person by person basis.

Serious allergies and complex dietary needs can be difficult to manage in some countries due to often a lack of understanding from kitchen staff when it comes to contamination of certain foods/products. Our priority is always guest’s health as well as (of course) their enjoyment of the escape, therefore in some circumstances we may advise against people with allergies attending this escape.

  • The escape will start in Yogyakarta and end in Surabaya, both of which have international airports.
We therefore recommend guests book arrival flights to Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), that will arrive on Day 1 of the escape, and depart from Surabaya International Airport (SUB) on Day 10.
